Founders: Erin Brewer, Becky Gerritson, Miriam Ben-Shalom, Maria Keffler and Lynn Meagher

Erin Brewer

Erin was a trans kid. Thankfully, she had therapists who helped her first manage and then resolve her gender confusion. Erin started speaking about her history after Equality Utah proposed legislation that would ban the very type of therapy that helped her overcome her transgender identity. Erin grew up in Salt Lake City and earned a B.S. from Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts. She has a Doctorate in Instructional Technology and Learning Science from Utah State University.

Maria Keffler

Maria is a former middle- and high-school teacher and one of the co-founders of the Arlington Parent Coalition (APC) in Arlington, VA. She and the APC team work to hold the public school system accountable to ALL parents, as well as to support parents toward keeping their children safe in public school. Maria has three children and holds a master of science degree in educational psychology. She writes and speaks on the topics of education, school policy on sex & gender, and parents' rights in education.

Miriam Ben-Shalom

Miriam is a long-time activist on behalf of the LGB community, a teacher of 37 years at both the high school and college levels, and a Vietnam Era veteran. She is the co-founder of Hands Across The Aisle Women in Coalition, a coalition of conservative and progressive women who work to fight trans ideology and its impact on society as well as the founder of several other organizations. She holds a BA cum laude in Hebrew Studies and English and a Master’s Degree in English from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. A forthright and blunt woman, she is a published author and well known nationally and internationally for challenging the U.S. Army’s former ban on Gays in the military and for her work on challenging transgenderism and the erasure of women.

Becky Gerritson

Becky’s passion has led her to work with and serve in leadership roles with other conservative organizations. She has served as the Alabama State coordinator for Foundation for Liberty and American Greatness (FLAG) and also the National Grassroots Coordinator for Grassroots for Victory USA. In that role she helped to unite conservative grassroots groups across the country via their “Let’s Put ‘US’ Back in USA” national tour. She has been an active member of the Stop Common Core Task Force in Alabama and was a state leader for ParentalRights.org. In 2012 she traveled the country as a media correspondent with B!G Voices Media. In 2016, her desire to serve the citizens of Alabama prompted her to run for U.S. Congress in Alabama’s Second District.

Becky’s desire for freedom is fueled by her faith in God and love for her family. She has been married to her best friend, Eric for almost 27-years; their daughter Shelley and son-n-law, Omar, have given them two wonderful grandchildren, Samuel Joseph and Irving Lucas. Becky is working to ensure her children and grandchildren will live in the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Lynn Meagher

Lynn works as an advocate for parents of Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria (ROGD) kids and as a spokesperson for the Kelsey Coalition. She feels honored to work with many gifted and talented women through the Hands Across the Aisle coalition. Her story was told by the Christian Post titled, “I’ve lost two kids to the trans cult, I want them back: An anguished mom shares her journey,” by Brandon Showalter.

Lynn has recently become involved in activism against Drag Queen Story Hours at public libraries and helped to start Ask Moms on Facebook to inform and equip ordinary people everywhere to stand against the sexualization of children. She worked as a nurse in Neonatal Intensive Care for 28 years. She enjoys reading, writing, painting, knitting, and time with friends and her two cats, Kallie and Lulu.

Schools Undermining Parents with Transgender Ideology

One of the founders of The Compassion Coalition, Maria Keffler shares important insights about how transgender activists are working to undermine parents by introducing children as young as kindergarten to the idea that someone can be born in the wrong body. Maria's co-founded the Arlington Parent Coalition in order to share resources with parents, shed light on how transgender activists are in indoctrinating children in public schools, and undermining childrens' relationships with their parents.

Mother Loses Children to Transgender Ideology

Lynn Meagher is one of the founders of The Compassion Coalition. The mother of children who adopted transgender identities. Lynn's children have rejected her and cut off all contact. Lynn refused to be manipulated into accepting the dictates of the transgender ideology adopted by her children which insists that if someone doesn't 100% accept a transgender identity, that person is hateful and abusive. Lynn helps other parents who are struggling with the lose of their children to this harmful and manipulative ideology. Lynn and I are both founding members of The Compassion Coalition. The Compassion Coalition is a non-partisan national group for those fighting to ban invasive, harmful, unproven medical interventions for gender confused children. Our goal is to support efforts around the nation and around the world to stop the medical abuse of children who identify as transgender.

The Compassion Coalition calls for Moratorium on “Sex-Change” Operations, and Clarification on Therapy Bans
Erin Brewer, Miriam Ben-Shalom, Becky Gerritson, Lynn Meagher and Maria Keffler, founders of The Compassion Coalition, today called on the nation’s governors to halt what’s called “gender reassignment surgery” during the Coronavirus crisis.
The Compassion Coalition says the government has called for a moratorium on non-essential procedures to conserve medical resources. Sex-change operations clearly fall within this category. No one will be harmed by a delay here and it will give those contemplating such surgeries more time to contemplate what could be a life-altering event that they’ll later come to regret.
Trans activists have warned that some of the gender-confused will commit suicide if their operation is delayed. In a well researched study called this argument a red herring. “One study shows that those who’ve undergone a ‘sex-change’ operation are nearly 20 times more likely to commit suicide than the general population.” (See below for link.)
A moratorium would help us to come to terms with the nature of gender- reassignment surgery. After the operation, patients have the same sex that they did before. These procedures change physical appearance, not DNA. Those who were born male or female will remain so till the end of their days, regardless of what they do to their bodies.
The answer to gender confusion is compassionate counseling (talk therapy), not facilitating a fraud. We are calling on governors to lift bans on such therapy, where they exist. These bans on so-called “conversion therapy” are often so broad that therapists fear just talking to gender-confused clients about their
thoughts, feelings, and beliefs related to their gender identity and require them to affirm a client’s gender confusion.
The Compassion Coalition is a national group for those fighting to ban invasive, harmful, unproven medical interventions for gender confused children. Please remember this is a non-partisan group. Our goal is to support efforts around the nation and around the world to stop the medical abuse of children who identify as transgender.

Breast Binding During Covid-19 Pandemic

"Binding could accelerate the symptoms and infection."

For those who are unfamiliar with breast binding, it is a practice encouraged by transgender activists for girls, teens, and women to hide their breasts by strapping them tightly, often with custom made breast binders. I wore a breast binder for a few hours to see what it was like and within just a few minutes, I started to feel light headed from lack of oxygen. These binders are so tight that they can cause breathing problems, tissue damage, and bone damage. In addition, binders encourage females to believe that their is something wrong with their bodies, reinforcing the self-hatred they have.
This is horrifying under normal circumstances, but experts are concerned that breast binding can increase the risk of serious complications due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.

For more information, see: With growing concerns over COVID-19, trans and non-binary organisations have released helpful guidelines for chest binding.

Alabama Leads in Protecting Children

Alabama Senate passes ban on puberty blockers, hormones, surgeries used to gender-transition youth

Why Big Business Support Medical Abuse

Why is big business fighting state efforts to protect kids from irreversible gender transition?

The Stakes Could Not Possibly Be Higher

A statement read at a rally to support Rob Hoogland:
"My name is William Malone. I'm an endocrinologist in practice now for 11 years. I trained at some of the top universities in the United States with some of the world's best endocrinologists. And based on the years of training and years of medical practice, I wanted to validate something that you already know. And that is, you're right, you're right that we're in the midst of an enormous medical scandal. You are right that vulnerable children are being harmed with experimental medical procedures that have no scientific basis.
Your right to be concerned about affirmation therapy. It confuses children and increases the chance that they will choose life altering hormones and surgery to treat their gender dysphoria. These treatments do not improve the long term psychological health of people. Your right to be concerned to that underlying causes of adolescent onset gender dysphoria are not being investigated. You're right that adolescent girls with a history of childhood trauma may present with gender dysphoria to avoid sexualization at puberty. You're right that adolescent girls with autism spectrum conditions may be confused about what it means to be a boy or a girl and presented with gender dysphoria, You're right the gender nonconforming children maybe confused into thinking that they're the opposite sex. None of these children need hormones or surgery. They need compassion, they need therapeutic counseling to help them build resiliency. They need help them build a self acceptance. You're right to suspect that only maladaptive or misinformed mental health professionals would recommend affirmation or hormones and surgery for such children.
You're right to be outraged that judges, courts and governments are defying logic and medical evidence that preventing parents from seeking proper treatment for their children and controlling speech. There are many like me in the medical field who are alarmed at what's occurring. You are not alone. You're on the right path.
Continue speaking up.
Continue spreading the word.
The stakes could not possibly be higher."
-Dr. William Malone
