Schools Undermining Parents with Transgender Ideology

One of the founders of The Compassion Coalition, Maria Keffler shares important insights about how transgender activists are working to undermine parents by introducing children as young as kindergarten to the idea that someone can be born in the wrong body. Maria's co-founded the Arlington Parent Coalition in order to share resources with parents, shed light on how transgender activists are in indoctrinating children in public schools, and undermining childrens' relationships with their parents.

Mother Loses Children to Transgender Ideology

Lynn Meagher is one of the founders of The Compassion Coalition. The mother of children who adopted transgender identities. Lynn's children have rejected her and cut off all contact. Lynn refused to be manipulated into accepting the dictates of the transgender ideology adopted by her children which insists that if someone doesn't 100% accept a transgender identity, that person is hateful and abusive. Lynn helps other parents who are struggling with the lose of their children to this harmful and manipulative ideology. Lynn and I are both founding members of The Compassion Coalition. The Compassion Coalition is a non-partisan national group for those fighting to ban invasive, harmful, unproven medical interventions for gender confused children. Our goal is to support efforts around the nation and around the world to stop the medical abuse of children who identify as transgender.

Call to Stop Medical Abuse of Gender Confused Children

The Compassion Coalition calls for Moratorium on “Sex-Change” Operations, and Clarification on Therapy Bans
Erin Brewer, Miriam Ben-Shalom, Becky Gerritson, Lynn Meagher and Maria Keffler, founders of The Compassion Coalition, today called on the nation’s governors to halt what’s called “gender reassignment surgery” during the Coronavirus crisis.
The Compassion Coalition says the government has called for a moratorium on non-essential procedures to conserve medical resources. Sex-change operations clearly fall within this category. No one will be harmed by a delay here and it will give those contemplating such surgeries more time to contemplate what could be a life-altering event that they’ll later come to regret.
Trans activists have warned that some of the gender-confused will commit suicide if their operation is delayed. In a well researched study called this argument a red herring. “One study shows that those who’ve undergone a ‘sex-change’ operation are nearly 20 times more likely to commit suicide than the general population.” (See below for link.)
A moratorium would help us to come to terms with the nature of gender- reassignment surgery. After the operation, patients have the same sex that they did before. These procedures change physical appearance, not DNA. Those who were born male or female will remain so till the end of their days, regardless of what they do to their bodies.
The answer to gender confusion is compassionate counseling (talk therapy), not facilitating a fraud. We are calling on governors to lift bans on such therapy, where they exist. These bans on so-called “conversion therapy” are often so broad that therapists fear just talking to gender-confused clients about their
thoughts, feelings, and beliefs related to their gender identity and require them to affirm a client’s gender confusion.
The Compassion Coalition is a national group for those fighting to ban invasive, harmful, unproven medical interventions for gender confused children. Please remember this is a non-partisan group. Our goal is to support efforts around the nation and around the world to stop the medical abuse of children who identify as transgender.

Founders: Erin Brewer, Becky Gerritson, Miriam Ben-Shalom, Maria Keffler and Lynn Meagher

Erin Brewer

Erin was a trans kid. Thankfully, she had therapists who helped her first manage and then resolve her gender confusion. Erin started speaking about her history after Equality Utah proposed legislation that would ban the very type of therapy that helped her overcome her transgender identity. Erin grew up in Salt Lake City and earned a B.S. from Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts. She has a Doctorate in Instructional Technology and Learning Science from Utah State University.

Maria Keffler

Maria is a former middle- and high-school teacher and one of the co-founders of the Arlington Parent Coalition (APC) in Arlington, VA. She and the APC team work to hold the public school system accountable to ALL parents, as well as to support parents toward keeping their children safe in public school. Maria has three children and holds a master of science degree in educational psychology. She writes and speaks on the topics of education, school policy on sex & gender, and parents' rights in education.

Miriam Ben-Shalom

Miriam is a long-time activist on behalf of the LGB community, a teacher of 37 years at both the high school and college levels, and a Vietnam Era veteran. She is the co-founder of Hands Across The Aisle Women in Coalition, a coalition of conservative and progressive women who work to fight trans ideology and its impact on society as well as the founder of several other organizations. She holds a BA cum laude in Hebrew Studies and English and a Master’s Degree in English from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. A forthright and blunt woman, she is a published author and well known nationally and internationally for challenging the U.S. Army’s former ban on Gays in the military and for her work on challenging transgenderism and the erasure of women.

Lynn Meagher

Lynn works as an advocate for parents of Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria (ROGD) kids and as a spokesperson for the Kelsey Coalition. She feels honored to work with many gifted and talented women through the Hands Across the Aisle coalition. Her story was told by the Christian Post titled, “I’ve lost two kids to the trans cult, I want them back: An anguished mom shares her journey,” by Brandon Showalter.

Lynn has recently become involved in activism against Drag Queen Story Hours at public libraries and helped to start Ask Moms on Facebook to inform and equip ordinary people everywhere to stand against the sexualization of children. She worked as a nurse in Neonatal Intensive Care for 28 years. She enjoys reading, writing, painting, knitting, and time with friends and her two cats, Kallie and Lulu.
